Behind the motley crew

I wish I could say that I always wanted to be a writer but the truth is that it’s taken a while for me to find my way here. It’s been a long and winding road, but a good one.
By the time I was in my late 20s, I had a degree in Natural Sciences, worked in corporate events, flown around the world as an air hostess, been a hair model and an international deodorant tester (who hasn’t?). But somehow none of those dalliances seemed to suit me.
It was my decade-long tenure as a teacher that really ignited my passion for storytelling. Being confronted every day by young children, their thirst for knowledge, and their receptiveness to imaginative narratives meant I finally understood the power of stories and the significance of instilling moral values in young hearts.
And then 2020 brought about a profound change in my life. The birth of my first wonderful daughter led me to set out on a new journey - the enticing and exciting world of writing.
Today, Hampshire is where I call home. Here, I reside with my two precious daughters and my wonderful supportive husband. Together, we form a team of explorers and storytellers.
My debut picture book, Benji's Blanket, stands as a testament to my love for the enchanting world of imagination and the limitless possibilities that arise from a heart filled with dreams and surrounded by friendship.

Are those clouds or a herd of sheep? Imagining and looking at things differently always made me smile. I have a degree in Engineering and worked as a software professional, but I never felt this much happiness back then - the joy that comes from illustrating giggles!
I am a visual artist and initially started my art journey by exhibiting oil and acrylic paintings. Lately, I have developed my illustration portfolio and am now working with amazing authors.
It brings me immense joy when I finish each illustration and I very much hope that you and your loved ones find the same happiness seeing my passion come to life!
